Regional Technical Assistance Center

  • Regional Technical Assistance Center

  • The Regional Technical Assistance Center is a new collaborative whose mission is to improve quality, access and equity in Pre-K and early education programs in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. We provide professional development for teachers, teacher assistants, administrators and directors from public school districts, private schools and community-based organizations. We offer expert guidance in such areas as program improvement, strategies for grant eligibility and management, implementing developmentally appropriate practice and maximizing family engagement. And we work with regional leaders and policy makers to ensure continued support for our youngest learners and their families.

We are funded by state grants from the Office of Children and Family Services and from the New York State Education Department.

Links to our collaborating organizations are provided in the menu at left. Each of these offers direct services as part of the Regional Technical Assistance Center for Pre-K and early childhood education.

We also work with many other regional organizations, building an expanding network that includes paediatricians, referral services, special education experts and other resources for children and families. A link to these network partners is also provided at left.
