SSHSP (Preschool/School Supportive Health Services Program)

  • The 澳门六合图库 Medicaid in Education Program, developed in collaboration with the State Education Department (SED) and the Department of Health (DOH), enables schools to receive additional revenue for students—ages 3-21—who belong to the Preschool Supportive Health Services Program (PSHSP) and/or School Supportive Health Services Program (SSHSP).

The mission of this program is to assist school districts and counties in obtaining Medicaid reimbursement for certain diagnostic and health-support services provided to students with disabilities. Telephone support, as it relates to the Medicaid process and Medicaid Compliance issues, is available to all districts in Nassau County and the schools within 澳门六合图库' jurisdiction.

Part of our duties as Medicaid Trusted Agents is to assist your school district/county in maintaining proper documentation. Each year, NYSED chooses districts for Documentation Training. When your district/county is chosen, we will notify you by phone or email. Previous Medicaid claims are selected and supporting documentation for these claims are sent by the district or county to the State through a secure site. We review the claims and ask for any clarification of the claims that might be needed. This is done to help to ensure your documentation is in compliance with the SSHSP program policies and procedures. Once we have reviewed all documentation, we provide feedback and offer resources and guidance to any questions your district/county may have.
